You didn't think you'd escape from this question, did you?
It's been about a month since the launch of the new design and during this time we've amended some things, added others, moved others around and you guys had the chance to get used to the new format.
What do you think about it now? Do you find it more efficient/user friendly/attractive? How would you rate it on a 0-10 scale?

@AnonymousThis is purely a personal perspective. I had got used to the 'old layout' and it worked for me. I knew
where I wanted to go so headed for the certain sections that appealed.
Now, things seem to be 'hidden away' (in boxes as it were). To explore, I have to 'open the box' and scan the
the topics, looking for items of interest. After perusing that section, I come out by clicking on O2 Community
(top left hand corner) and then have to 'open another box' to find something else.
I find this time consuming, so I don't actually read as much.
The forum may look much neater with its new design, however its boxed in layout makes it less accessible
(to me anyway) I hope this helps.

@Cleoriff We need personal perspective. Thank you for elaborating 🙂
Apologies for more questions - how did you navigate before?
@AnonymousWhen I entered the forum before, everything was openly on display, and also showed the latest
posts, so I went into sections that appealed..
It has to be said here and now, I was always a pupil, never a teacher. So the topics that were of interest to
me, were obviously different to your more knowledgeable posters.
I would usually be found 'haunting' the Android section, PAYG and Contract, Discussions and Off Topic.
One other thing I forgot to mention in my original post. I dislike the way latest topics are now on display
top right hand corner. If posters are being negative about O2..those topics are the first to be seen when
accessing the forum and create a 'bad' first impression.
I am not saying they should not be shown... but maybe not given such prominence on home page.

As I was doing not much last weekend = I had a good play about on the O2 Community (pleased you've dropped the word 'Forum' & have just used O2 Community
It took me quite some time to find off-topic, which is where I usually post & view others posts as I usually sign in 1st at top of 'index' page & then do what I had in mind to do ..... Now I go into O2 - mouse over Help to get to O2 Community + scroll down page to impressive pix to get to Off-topic = found quite by accident & then sign in
It's not a problem = its just is not what I'm used to with other sites eg Ebay etc where U sign in 1st at the top then look for where U wish to go:)
I hope this makes sense = if not please ask me
PS: I like the general look of the O2 page/s = more utd classy with the white & signature accent of dark blue of O2 & of course the posh athletic cat = is that on TU GU
Enjoy your day, its Friday

I knew I had missed something from my previous post and I've just figured out what it was, there is "Recent Posts" link any more unless I'm missing it!
Would it be possible to include an option in "My Settings" so we could choose what appears on the homepage, be it "Latest Topics", "Unanswered Topics" or "Recent Posts"?

There's the 'Latest Posts' section on the home screen or the 'Unread Posts' link next to the PM icon on every page. Does either fulfill the same need?
on 25-03-2014 17:27
Hmm...on the home screen I get "Latest Topics" at the top and "Unanswered Topics" at the bottom of the home screen.
The old format of the community also had a "Recent Posts" section where you could see the last few topics that a post had been made in. For instance now that I am replying to this topic, it would be the most recent post in the whole community (at the time of me pressing the Post button )
I've just checked the"Unread Posts" next to the PM icon which does look like it does the kind of thing i was looking for! For some reason I though unread posts would be something completely different!
Thanks for that, and have some Kudos!

Have just re-opened this to make another request of @Anonymous and @Toby
Do you think it would be a good idea to be able to 'preview' your post before actually posting?
Again this is a personal perspective. I do tend to check what I have written when I have time but I find it
frustrating that sometimes things are missed. Then I have to go back in to edit my response to correct errors.
Often it isn't a spelling mistake. It could be the way the post layout appears or a number of other things
I think it would be opportune to be able to preview your post so that changes can be made BEFORE posting
(at the moment I am often unable to edit my post, before someone 'with the speed of light' has replied to it

@Cleoriff If your on a desktop browser you get the 'Preview' option along with the Rich Text and HTML tabs above the post. Are you on a mobile/tablet browser?
