Poor coverage despite coverage map suggesting otherwise - how to report?

I've noticed that data covered between New Milton and Lymington in Hampshire (along the A337 mainly) is very poor.  Mostly no data at all (GPRS only showing - no 3G and rarely E - and even then data is rarely acessible).  I see on the coverage map at http://www.o2.co.uk/coveragechecker that this road should have better service than that but I've always seen poor quality there on varioius different iPhones on O2.

How can I report this to O2?  I tried live chat and they recommended ringing 802 802 for the network team.  I rang 802 802 but there were no options for the network team - only things like account queries, problems with my phone, etc)

How should I be reporting this?

Thanks!

Hi and welcome to the Community SeekingAnswers.

To be honest we don't recommend any of the mobile network coverage checkers. They are computer projections of coverage and such frequently bear little resemblance to reality. Indeed the ASA have recently ruled o2 to make changes to ensure that customers are made aware they are for outdoor coverage even though the page may state good indoor coverage.

We recommend before entering a contract that you try a free payg sim in a phone in the areas you will most use it.

I have poor coverage as well for calls- on the phone O2 says quite a few masts in my area are faulty. Though the website says a different thing
