ABA do/have in the past carried out market and customer experience research on behalf of O2. Not sure about any current campaigns so will leave that to Toby to confirm, but wouldn't ring alarm bells for me.

Thanks for the input @Wa10 tbh it didn't necessarily ring alarm bells for myself, apart from the fact it's been a good month (that I remember) since I contacted CS.
It might be better if they'd used my name if it's real though, as that'd give me less of a reason to doubt it as well.
