The S6 Edge that is...
Decided to take the plunge and go back to Android after years of being happy with iOS. I'm not ashamed to say that there was no other reason other than the fact that I absolutely love the way the S6 Edge looks!
I still have my iPad for Photo Stream / Facetime duties though.. So now at least I can't be pigeonholed into being an Apple Fanboy or a Fandroid..
What swayed me? I'd like to say it was a great deal direct from O2, but sadly not. O2 couldn't even come close to the deal I got from CPW and, although I'm now on a 'regular' 24 month contract (not Refresh) I got the same phone, on the same tariff, and I walked out of CPW with £87 in my back pocket after paying the O2 early upgrade fee. This as opposed to walking into an O2 store and walking out over £300 worse off after getting exactly the same deal (well, same phone and same monthly cost anyway, the only difference being the refresh tariff)..
Now it's time to see what all the hype is about

What kind of difference are you seeing @Mark_1980?

I've got the normal S6 and I'm finding the battery life is nowhere near as good as my iPhone 6. I've tried turning off everything I can, have automatic screen settings and emails sync manually but it's still poor.

I didn't realise there was that much difference but it makes sense now!

@Toby Battery was fully charged this morning, and is now on 69% with around 12 hours life left. For comparison, my i6+ battery was usually on about 90-92% by now with similar usage. That's a huge difference.
Saying that, I fully accept that the (quite frankly amazing) screen is largely to blame. That, and the fact that the phone is new so I keep playing around with it. However, I can't help but feel that the iPhone's power management is so much better, regardless of it's lower resolution screen and less powerful processor. Apple really nailed the battery life with the i6 and particularly i6+, and coming from the latter to a phone which doesn't have the best battery life is a big eye opener and is the biggest issue for me at the moment. Going from a phone which could quite comfortably last 2-3 days with moderate usage to one which will be crying for the charger by the end of each day is quite a jump.
I'm not knocking the S6 Edge. It really is an incredible piece of kit. I'm just giving my findings based on my own personal experience with two very different devices.
The S6 hasn't impressed me enough at the moment to stop me having that slight niggle of doubt in my head about getting rid of the i6+... Not to say that it won't as time goes on, just not yet. The Samsung is clearly a better, more advanced phone. There's no doubt about that. I'm just not enjoying the fact that I have to turn off or tone down a vast majority of the things which make it so good, just to get a decent life out of the battery.
