How can we actually grow the active membership

We have the community rewards etc but how can o2 increase the use of the community

I am quite a new member (Aug 2018) and the answer is no The community is not actively promoted at point of new contract. I was a community member in TalkTalk (and still am)  so joined o2 straight away to get help and then stayed on but o2 is much better because they promote interesting topics etc. and the community is also chatting about all sorts of subjects.

Your idea is a good one ~ it would be very nice to hear from others all over the world.

Well. We get hassling texts to join or visit O2 Priority...

We get a text every time we roam...

So why not push a text out at, say, contract renewal, or on first payg top-up, with a link to the Community Forum?

People use their phones much more these days and when they do have spare moments, tend to be streaming movies, catch up TV or playing games. You either like forums or don'tin most cases so promoting by text to new members when registering is a good idea as long as it isn't over-done. People do complain about texts but if it's a text that gives useful information about the community, for help, for the knowledge base and for the social side then it should be welcomed.

I agree, a text seems a great idea. One which gives you a direct link to the community forum.

If the link isn't used (activated) then possibly one more text a few months later?

A text is a great idea. People only find us if they need help, and I would imagine not even then, in some cases.

I only found the community when I needed help and stayed because I found it fun and I learned so much.
