How do I collect an order without photo ID

My local O2 store has my order ready to collect, but can't let me have it because I don't have any current photo ID. I recently purchased a Samsung S23 Ultra, which comes with free Ear Buds. I already have the phone, but the store won't release the Ear Buds without photo ID. In which case, why did they let me have the phone?!

As per the rules on click and collect you need to have Photo ID, as last time I did a click and collect, they had to put what photo ID they have seen.

I am afraid without Photo ID , you cant collect..

I used my birth certificate and a recent electric and council tax bill and never needed to produce photo ID while I was waiting for my driving licence to arrive after a renewal.

A friend of mine without a driving licence or passport, used her blue badge disabled photo card and a utility bill. However, it really is dependent on the store manager.
