Hit & Miss 'notifications'

Sometimes I get an email sayinging WispaRed7 has been mentioned on the forum

Sometimes I don't

It could possible be I've been de-friended ? ... 

However, yesterday I realised had not received a notification from @Martin-O2 & only picked it up when I was getting up to date with Off Topic

Anyone else experiencing this ?

Is it a result of the 'New Look' Community Home Page(s) ?

Firstly It's nothing to do with being 'de-friended.'

The emails, since the change, are hit and miss. Dancing on Ice is the worst one in off topic for this currently.

Having said that, there are quite a few topics I'm subscribed to which I fail to get emails about.

I pick this up when I go into 'Unread Topics' and find new posts on a topic I'm subscribed to...though I haven't had an email notification.

It's only happened since the new layout was foisted on us, so yes, it's got a lot to answer for!!!!

Same happens to me. The worst offender is the DOI songs @Cleoriff posts each week. Never receive an email for this post.

Also nearly missed a PM from @EmilieT as I never received an email. Saw it by chance when replying to another PM.

At first I thought it was my knackered phone but as it's not just me, and only started to happen after the introduction of the new homepages, I know it's all the changes that has caused this.

I can't print what I'd like to say and this is the wrong section anyway.....grr!

I had a private message yesterday early evening. I didn't get any notification on the community and the email came through at midnight.

Not good enough @Marjo  @EmilieT  @Martin-O2

This can lead to members thinking the are being ignored by other members. This needs sorting urgently, along with the utterly ridiculous and annoying banner and search box.

Agreed @Glory1 missing messages from members especially PM ~ I asked how do we know when

there is a PM because no notification shows ~ has that been fixed yet?  I don't know as don't 

get many.

No it's not been fixed @TallTrees. We used to get a number next to messages to show if we had any PM's Now we get nothing at all.. (Except an email (if we are lucky) or checking message inbox.

Just to add these are my unread posts....

Add the Grumble thread to that, (I have just read it) and there are 3 I should have had email notifications for...and didn't!
