I'm seeing lots of noise from unhappy people who eithere are;t being told anything or hve been tld their phone is delayed. my ordr confirmation email was at 08.12 on 9th but my order is still in progress, with no tracking information, no texts or emails. I've spoken to Chat last night and they couldn;t have been any more non commital. "It may arrive, it may not" "I can't promise anything" "it'll be delivered by UK Mail but I don't have any tracking details".
So, out of interest..has anyone actually recieved their new phone yet? Anyone who didn;t get tracking details and who's order still just shows as "in progress"?

It seems to be the black models that are most in danger of being delayed. A large proportion of pre orders were for these colours so they probably would of been sold out within a few minutes of launch, before getting chance to accurately adjust the ETA's on the site. Its nothing new for a milestone Apple release and my guess is that 6 weeks is an outside estimate to give them enough time to replenish stocks. This happened with my Apple watch pre-order last year when I ordered directly from Apple and paid in full within 10 minutes of the launch yet delivery took 2 weeks after release because I didnt order within the first 2 minutes. I think most people familiar with Apple launches now expect to wait a little longer but this is the bad side to online ordering. Things were easier when you could gurantee your launch day purchase by simply getting to the store early enough to be at the front of the que.

I had the same thing told to me. you phone alocoated to you and being despatched, then a different person told me just to cancel my contract and go elswhere. Not a chance when my phone arrives in 5 weeks Ill be sueing for breach of contract, false advetising, fruad. Ill expect a full refund of my upfront charges 169.00 and a reduced tariff, NOT the extra data thats posted on the the site, with the pathectic aplogy.... IF I WANTED MORE DATA i would have choosen a tarif with extra data... I just wanted a phone...
Stop the lies, tell the truth, stop blaming apple... Pre order was for a reason. You would have know the stock alocated to you... Hence at 8.30 am on the 9th by the time i got to the check out, the phone i wanted said out of stock, so back to the beging and had to order the top of the range one... Delivery by the 16th!!!!!!! - no phone.
Yet those who did not pre order walked into stores and got one...
P****** right off

Hi @Anonymous, welcome to the community!
Sorry to hear that you're not happy. Due to a market-wide delay in receiving iPhone stock this year, we’ve unfortunately not been able to deliver some orders when customers were expecting. We’re working closely with Apple and doing all we can to improve the situation and assure you we’ll be in touch as soon as we’re able to progress your order. @Anonymous
I agree the data offer is very token as i was on a 20 data contract but reduced it to 5 as i was only using just over 1 so the extra data i will not even get close to using. i would rather a month free of my contract. but i will cross that bridge when i come to it as i dont know how soon i will get my phone.

@Toby @Anonymous Nothing about my order is showing on my account either. I don't even have a 'recent orders' section to look under or anything. It's non-existent on my account & I have no idea why. I've looked at my account on my computer, iPad (desktop version) & iPhone (desktop version), absolutely nothing. I'm aware my order does exist but I'm frustrated that I can't see any progress on it.

I ordered my iphone 7 on friday before 9am and still nothing showing up on my o2 account!
Spoke to someone yesterday on chat who assured me i would get it either today or tomorrow.
Got the txt most people got last night 21:15 stating no stock would get it within 4 days
Still nothing showing on my o2 states no orders in past 31 days
So just had another chat to find out why and after a 15 minute conversation still none the wiser as to why it isn't showing and it is still offering me to upgrade?
He then told me i would be getting the phone today by uk mail and gave me a tracking number (doesn't work)
then a few minutes later got a email with the same tracking details (still dont work) stating its on its way
Not holding my breath lol

Hi @Toby
The information on http://www.o2.co.uk/help/pay-monthly/iphone-offers is not 3 days old, surely there's been some more updates by now? Can this page please be updated more regularly, I'm sure it will save a lot of people contact CS contactly looking for an update.
I seem to be one the of the people getting no information from O2 at all, no text, email or anything form CS. Othere are being told to expect updates today, updates tuesday etc but then theres those of us who seem to be completeley ingored and fobbed off.

I'm so close to cancelling under my consumer rights. This has been a horrible experience as a new customer.
I placed so much faith in O2 to at least keep me up to date, so far I've been spoonfed information which has turned out to be BS from online chat, telephone CS, and in store, they all say different things and it appears they say these things just to move you on so they can deal with the barrage of calls.
Why was money taken from me for a device you do not have, and do not know when you will have it?
This is a great way of driving customers away.
