Hi, so was tbinking of getting a Samsung Galaxy 4 watch from Samsung £409 for watch with 4 g rang o2 to ask if i can share my data that i have on my phone with watch and told no must take out another contract for £5 per month. Think this is unfair as all point of ha ing 4g on watch is so i dont need phone with me so wouldnt be using both items at same time. Another way of o2 making money i guess. Oh well wont be getting a watch now then.

Every full network charges extra for smart watches such as Apple Watch and the Samsung Watches.

Blame Apple and Samsung for creating these devices which require such services, or buy a non cellular one from other retailers.

Just to add EE now charge from £20 for the watch and data

Vodafone £7.50

So o2 are one of the cheapest options

it's because the 4g watch needs an esim inorder to share the same mobile number as your phone and be able to be used separately from your phone.

If you only want to use the watch at the same time as your phone and share the data then you would just get the non 4g version of the watch
