This will if approved stop the issues in northern Ireland close to the eire border

There isn't any real reason why it should take a year and a half to implement this, other than the greed of the networks.

As Jonsie says I feel they will make up for it in other ways like they already are doing by increasing a lot of call charges to certain numbers

Agreed. I think we're going to see things going up across the board on the back of this. If it's the choice of free roaming or cheaper day to day I know which I'd choose.

Personally I would be concerned. I feel monthly prices may rise regardless of whether people travel abroad.

Presumably if costs have to be the same then inclusive minutes and data would also be used when in Europe
