Dreadful Signal

Anonymous
Not applicable
In my home postcode o2 state "good indoor and outdoor" 2g coverage. I get intermittent service.

Today I spent half the day in Dunster in Somerset. Absolutely no signal at all. When I get home I looked at the coverage checker and it reads " good indoor and outdoor" 2g coverage.

This is now happening more and more often. So what is the problem? Why are o2 not sorting out the basics?

Across the social network I see thousands of posts criticising o2 but rarely see anything re Vodafone, Three or EE. Clearly this is an o2 issue.

Thoughts on a postage strap please

Oh well, I know it's a bit buggy, but hopefully it will improve with the next update...

Hi Damien1

it used 80mb whilst I was at work then a further 170mb on wifi including about 130mb between the hours on midnight an wake up (about 8am) when the phone for usual stuff like email etc only uses a couple of mb each night.

I have a tool on my phone which told me where the usage was occurring.

No need to apologise Damien1, I appreciate your guidance.

I too have unlimited wifi but it used 80mb over the air data in about 8 hours and that was the main problem.I would use up my 1gb allowance in just a third of a month. That was why I took it off.

However given MI5's helpful comments I may give it another go.

when at home just turn cell data off that will force it over wifi and the same when at any other location you have wifi

and when out turn tugo off so it all comes in via the phone no data usage if signal is poor and out of wifi tugo is of no benefit.

Just a shame us bisiness customers cannot use it
