Dreadful Signal

Anonymous

In my home postcode o2 state "good indoor and outdoor" 2g coverage. I get intermittent service.

Today I spent half the day in Dunster in Somerset. Absolutely no signal at all. When I get home I looked at the coverage checker and it reads " good indoor and outdoor" 2g coverage.

This is now happening more and more often. So what is the problem? Why are o2 not sorting out the basics?

Across the social network I see thousands of posts criticising o2 but rarely see anything re Vodafone, Three or EE. Clearly this is an o2 issue.

Thoughts on a postage strap please

No that's not what I was told. customer services said that as they were in line with thie t&c's they would not end my contract for free only if I pay the phone balance of £300. I sopke to an instore manager who said if I was in the 3 month cooling off period they would cancel if i returned the phone. At no point have they said they will end the airtime contract and just leave me with the phone to pay off, I would have been happy to do this as I could get a sim only contract from another provider.

Oh hell. Vodafone can't get a reliable signal that stays on let alone upgrade.

What hope have we got down here now? Lol

Customer Services?

Have you been through o2's Complaints Review Service? (They are not customer services). You need to receive your final determination letter from o2 before you can go to the ombudsman. If you haven't it will be referred back to o2.

For your info when phoning the ombudsman they won't ever give you a likely indication and will appear supportive as it is not the phone operators responsibility to resolve. I have had much dealing with them in the past.

That is correct, paying off the phone will allow you to close the contract with no further cost.

There is no 3 month cooling off period.

DREADFUL SIGNAL CONTINUES FROM O2.

This weekend i have travelled from the South West to Warwickshire and places in between.

During the entire weekend NO 4G ANYWHERE.

For significant swathes of the journey there was ABSOLUTELY NO SIGNAL of any variety.

Where there was 2g signal it was generally 1 bar at best.

Where there was 3g quite often the data connection did sod all.

And for this o2 claim to be delivering an exceptional service?

Get off your backside Mr Ronan Dunne, CEO of o2 uk and smell the coffee. Its about time you to stock of the situation and recognise how dreadful o2's network has become. O2 is becoming a joke and is bordering on not being fit for purpose.

Failing that, as CEO hand over to someone else who knows how to deliver a service to customers.

I should add that for those who live in the South West there is NO 4G except for Saltash and a tiny village in North Devon with o2. That includes major cities like Bristol, Taunton, Truro, Exeter, Plymouth to name a few. Let alone the big towns. ....

And once you leave the towns, your chances of getting ANY SIGNAL AT ALL are very much open to debate.
