Don't hold your breath waiting for DHL to deliver your phone

Ordered new phone late Wednesday.
Selected Friday as delivery day.
All OK
Friday came - checked DHL website - tracking facility unavailable.Waited in like a good boy. No delivery
Friday evening rang o2 - parcel delayed "due to bad weather"
Parcel is in Dartford - 6 miles from here - decent weather yesterday if not a bit cloudy.
DHL website back up today - no further information
Rang DHL's 0844 number - 15 mins in queue
Bad weather, can't even give an estimate - check Monday or Tuesday - may not arrive until the end of next week.
Just as well I don't need the phone (Xmas pressie) in a hurry.
Rant over (feel better for that)

I'll counter that. I had a parcel for pick up by HDNL who failed to do so in a week. It was rescheduled and picked up by DHL yesterday and delivered today. Yet I'm still waiting on another delivery by HDNL for over a week now though in fairness, one order was delivered at 8pm by them!
As for Royal Mail absolutely agree - they've coped admirably but don't think they will in the future. They are under pressure to reduce costs and given the size of their staff and resources, it wouldn't surprise me if they did exactly the same in a few years.

I'm in the same position. Ordered last Wednesday for Thursday delivery.
Still no phone. O2 were reasonably helpful when I phoned but DHL have been ignoring me. Not happy.

Still waiting for my replacement Ordered on the 7th December for pre 5pm next day delivery. Last phone call to DHL yesterday - "its still sat in the warehouse in Leeds, o2 are not despatching until we have cleared the backlog"
Funny that, o2 and DHL have in the past confirmed its sat at my local depot on the lorry waiting to be unloaded. If 02 thought more about us, I guess they could at least make it possible to collect handsets in store - maybe thats just asking too much
😞

Apparently mine is sat in a service depot in loughborough, but as they are using the excuse "delyaed due to adverse weather" i have an inkling that like you , mine is also stuck with o2. why do they promise a next day service that they are probably aware they cant keep to . to be honest i dont mind the wait, its the poor communication that gets me, sitting in waiting for a courier and not really knowing where i stand. dhl wont even read my email x :womanindifferent:
