Away from home in Glasgow just now; can't access my router via usual means. Hopefully it's just crashed. Anyone got any problems on the Southside (BT line)?

Router?

Any BT line problems should be reported to them.

I know there had been problems with power in Glasgow yesterday morning with it randomly cutting out...

False alarm.  Got home tonight and my IP address had been changed for the first time in three years; is this anything to do with SKy? I've had no contact from them to say I've been migrated.

Sounds possible! I think I saw a thread in the broadband forum where someone was having the same problem where their IP Address kept changing since they had been moved to Sky.

So it's possible your power went off and when the router came back up its got the new IP

Appears not to be the case.  I did search on the new ip address, and it still comes up as belonging to O2.  No idea what brings on a new ip address; maybe it's buried in the boards somewhere.

O2 were upgrading the network prior to Sky buying it, this update would cause your IP to change more often.

If you go to :

on the right you'll see the hostname you're connected to.
