Dell Streak 2.2 Froyo Update on O2

So I have the .pkg file on my PC. Do I copy it to the Streak? because the OTA update says the Dell PC Suite will not work with Froyo.

Anyone else's browser crash when they try and exit it?

Yeah, it says it closed unexpecedly when I just told it to close. Anyone else get this force close?

Glad it's not just me.
Also has Backup and Restore left anyone else's SMS messages in a really random order? The list of conversations is all over the place, and oddly once I've opened a conversation twice it moves to where it should be. Any way I can fix without opening every conversation twice??

Am happy that I helped some of you by providing the rigth source. It works fine.
Download the file and then put it in ur sd card and rename it as update.
Turn the phone off then press and hold volume keys up and down and then power key for few seconds then you will get the boot option and then select upgrade from sd card. use your volum keys to move up and down and press camera button to select it.

suyan explained it well. don't forget to put your "update.pkg" at the root of your SD card.

yeepee!
i reverted back from an unofficial 2.1 back to o2 1.6 official myself. with a software called "r1-4399-streak-recovery". however, it didnt work at the first time, it still refused to work since i got 2.1 already. then change the image file, finally got it working.
back to o2 1.6 official , got 2.2 official updated!!!

happy now.
any one got same issue , let me know.

after download the pkg from your phone, you can install the update straight away, do need to rename it , nor put it under root of the memory card

Just got 2.2 anyone know how to get the bar back with had the quick on and off buttons for wi fi etc?
