You can get 24 hour help by telephoning and following the lost/stolen option. Numbers are in the contact link in my signature or at the foot of every page including the number to call from a landline.

Alternatively fill in the online form here but still call if you can and also report it to the police for insurance purposes.

Hi

On contacting O2 they will place an imei bar on the phone and then place a bar on your account.

Hi,

They will send you a replacement SIM card.

You then need to call them again to have the bar lifted on your account for it to work.

As you opted not to use any entry password on your phone then change any passwords of sites you were still perhaps logged into ,and think of any sensitive info you may have left in any Notes App.

If you don't have O2 insurance then perhaps check any home contents cover ,and also some bank accounts give cover too. Check their T&C for this along with any excess fees.

May I suggest that when you're all set up again then engage any entry password on your phone and also turn on the Sim Card Pin password ,so a person cannot firstly enter your phone to use it or remove your sim and use it in another phone.

Some phones have the capability to be located and blocked and wiped ,and can send a message to it by the owner too if it's turned on and connected to a Data Services.

Ie : The iPhone has FindMyIphone

Other phones have their own versions too (Handset / Firmware applicable )

I hope things go as smoothly as possible.
