Just been switched over to o2 from Virgin and my first two calls made I have been cut off after half an hour of talking, I am now talking to Virgin who are hopefully sorting the problem, not impressed o2.

Good luck, @Paul6661 - and fwiw, you have been on the O2 network for several weeks at this stage, it could be the machinations at the back end that terminated your calls-in-progress somewhat abruptly.
If Virgin dispense with you, O2 contacts are in the link just below this post, via Social Media - better than trying to call 202 or use WebChat. Hope you stabilise soon, O2's not that bad, as far as Telcos in the UK go.
