Ok,  so connect to your 2.4ghz wifi channel (won't work on 5ghz).

Stand in your kitchen and run a speed test using our favorite app.

You should get something like this or better..

Now, turn on your microwave, return to where you were standing and run the test again.

You may be shocked at how much your microwave actually leaks..

Apparently up to 5mw leak is acceptable but will affect wifi even then

With due respect @viridis I will leave you and others to do this test....I prefer to remain ignorant of radiation leaks Seriously, my microwave is getting old now (I have been looking at new ones)....so you would wonder if that leak would be greater after they reach a certain age?  (hence the reason for not doing that test)

I try not to think about these things. I seen a video on youtube once where ringing several phones surrounding corn seeds... I don't need to tell you, they weren't seeds for long. POP!
