My daughter lives less than 4 miles away from me but it may as well be the other side of the moon. For more than a week now the O2 Live Status Check shows the following for her Postcode:-
Live results for BT27 x??, County Down

Sorry a phone mast close to you isn't workingThis means you might experience problems making calls, using the internet, or sending/receiving emails in this area. That really is not very helpful at all. What is needed is an indication of when repair work will be carried out and how long it is likely to be before normal service is restored. What is the best way to get up to date and reliabkle information from O2 as regards network problems?Gerry

Hi @WispaRed7- I think @jonsie is, as ever, on the ball and quite right. It is good advice for users of the modern means of communication bearing in mind there is, apparently, so much snooping going on. One wonders though what sense the intelligence services might make of my posts in sundry forums (or should that be fora?).
Good wishes
Gerry

Hi @Anonymous - If I recall correctly (and it is such a long long time ago) my old school motto was Quaerere Verum. Not quite sure if it means Seek Truth or Seek the Truth - quite a subtle difference between the two.

I bought a 'pocket' Latin/English dictionary several years ago
I only did Latin at grammar school for 2 years & would liked to have studied it more as it was a logical language to me
I was better in Latin than the German I was made to study to O level = I got grade 9/10 = next to bottom
English language I was bumping along very near the bottom of the class, but
English literature I was near the top, particular in poetry, as I think it accessed the creative side of my brain
carpe diem

I love that expression Carpe Diem @Anonymous One that is still used a lot in this day and age.
I loved Latin...I had to really, in nursing it was used a lot for medical abbreviations and medication
prescriptions
My signature is nothing so fancy however....Its the logo for the new series of Sherlock (which I love!)
