Anonymous
Not applicable

I live in the postcode SY8 district. Friends who have ee mobile networks get 3G and 4G. My O2 doesn't give me either on my iPhone.

Thsi is what the O2 site says for SY8

  • Normal coverage for Mobile internet and voice (3G)
Fast networking. For smartphones, dongles and tablets.
Sorry, we do not have coverage here.

  •
Normal coverage for Mobile Internet (4G)
    Seamless connectivity and mobile internet.
Sorry, we do not have coverage here.

This is PATHETIC!! When are you guys going to get your act together or do I have to switch provider??

4G is rolling out relentlessly but unfortunately O2 will not give you a time frame for your area. You can only keep checking the website for any news.

Short term it would be better for you to switch to a network that gives you what you need.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

I used to have a holiday caravan near there for a few years and it's only ever been a patchy 2g only area.
Mind you, I have to say EE and Three weren't much better either.
