This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

@BSW7

Can I suggest that you get PAYG SIMs for the other major providers and check that they are actually an improvement ?

In historical locations such as Bath, getting permission to install the necessary infrastructure can be an issue for mobile network operators.

Also all WiFi was awful also. So completely unconnected all weekend. 🤦‍♀️

Do you mean mobile data or WiFi they are two different things from different sources.

@SKPrice

O2 and some other networks are unreliable in Bath, maybe because of planning issues when it comes to erecting infrastructure and the like ?

I am not sure if your are still in Bath, but if you are, checking these guides might be constructive :-

Guide: How can I sort out my network issues?

Guide: Is the network down for me or everyone?

Downloading and using the "My Network App" can be a constructive way of bringing network issues to O2's attention. 👍

I know Bath well, it's an historic city and I suspect the central area is challenging from a planning perspective. I've seen complaints of poor data performance in particular areas over a long period of time, and O2 has been a common theme.

All that said, I know other networks do perform well in the same areas - advice to test a PAYG SIM from multiple operators is always wise, before choosing which suits your requirements.
