I am looking for any other users who have been overcharged due to a network error when travelling abroad.
I am working with the UK Ombudsman and need other account holders to make a legal case against 02.
My issue was travelling to china and hong kond in April. My 2 02 phone sent a combined 1400+ text messages in 1 day to the same number creating a bill of over £400. My account was blocked by 02 for above normal usage, I paid £150 to get it repoened so I could still work! A network invesigation was carried out, no feedback given to me, 02 then attemtpted to take £450 additional out of my account. The network investigation had been completed 2 weeks prior and concluded my bill should be adjusted by £350+, however 02 policy is to not proactivly do this, instead they wait for you to pay the bill then issue a credit to your account which is not withdrawable.
I cancelled my DD and am now taking legal action.
If you have suffered a similar issue please highlight it here so I can inform you what compensation I obtain.
Thanks
Jonathan

Never had any issue with o2 whilst roaming, EE on the other hand where a complete nightmare...
Although this sounds like your bill was issue and then the network investigation was carried out, as your bill arrives 2 weeks before payment is due.. and tbh, all the networks will take payment first then credit it back / refund it, after the investigations are completed, this just sounds like mistiming in all honesty..
I do not work for o2 or any VMo2 /Telefonica/Liberty Global Company

Whilst I agree the above action isn't ideal, it is normal network behaviour to take the money then re credit it to you once their investigation is complete.

O2 may choose to place an unpaid market on your credit file which could effect your future requests for credit (mortgage, credit cards, etc), and its a challenge in itself to get it removed.
Not with a High Court order.......it's removed immediately otherwise it's a contempt of court offence.
