I received a new phone and a new SIM (existing monthly account). How long should it take for the SIM to be activated? They did it at 8 this morning but I still cannot make or receive calls?

Keep rebooting your phone @Anonymous

Or if having problems you could try contacting CS http://www.o2.co.uk/contactus

You will need to call cs again and ask them to lift the bar on your account then as it will be blocked at their end.
