Hi, I bought an iPhone 6S Plus back in Dec 2016, I received a O2 sim with it, I think it was a Pay Monthly sim. I am a Pay-as you go customer and if I remember correctly it all activated, I have service, 4G internet and calling. But the text messages did not work because the sim has the pay monthly message center number, at the time I found that you can manually set it using the keypad and a specific command, so I saved that to my notes and used that every time my device restarted.
I think Apple have stopped this from working in iOS 12, so I cannot fix my text messages.
Is there a way to fix this? I'm assuming other users have had the problem.
I guess I could request a new PAYG micro SIM for it but I want to keep my number and everything... If it comes to it I would also consider moving to a SIM-only plan.
Thanks.

Simply pop in to your local O2 shop and ask for a PAYG SIM.
They will transfer across your number whilst in store.
