I recently changed phone from blackberry to iPhone. Got new sim. Problem is iMessage doesn't work with my mobile number. People have to use my email address to send me iMessage. Why is this and how can I fix it?

Sounds like you need to do a reset by holding home and power until you see Apple logo on screen.

iData is not required for iMessage, but you do need to have your phone number in the iMessage settings.

Does it say activated or waiting for activation ?

Does data work on phone for other things like internet etc....?

Phone number ticked as default in iMessage settings?
