After purchasing my iPhone the other day and switching to O2 from T-mobile, I got my PAC code and submitted the form on the O2 website in order to keep my old T-mobile number. It seems that my phone number has changed to my old number yet when I text people with iMessages it seems to send from the new O2 number, the one which I don't want. When I send an ordinary SMS, it comes from my old number so I can only assume that this is an issue with iMessages.
I hope someone can decipher what I just wrote!

Have you changed the number in the imessage settings to your present number?

Jonsie is right as iMessage should default the number that is setup in my number as the first address in iMessage. Turn off iMessage and then change it as Jonsie said.
