iMessage Activation All Strange..

Anonymous
Not applicable
My iMessage randomly stopped working, I have iPhone 5, iPad and mac.

So I turned iMessage off on my iPhone and it asked me to sign back in so I did but I kept getting the message saying wrong password. Reset my password and it lets me in now but doesn't activate my mobile number just my email addresses.

I've reset network settings tried on wifi and 3G checked the clock location etc but still won't work.

Anyone know how to fix this?

Sign out and turn off iMessage on all your devices, then sign in and setup your iPhone first. This will activate iMessage for your phone number and Apple ID.

Once that has done, you can then sign in on your iPad and Mac.

There was an issue with iMessage last night, i have checked now and mines working fine again.

remember you need to make sure your number is ticked in the message settings and not your email address or apple id etc.

Can you let us know if you are still having an issue...

Thanks

I wrote a iMessage setup guide the other day.

It might be worth trying it and seeing if your problem remains slight_smile

I forgot to post this earlier, but I wrote a Facetime setup guide, I thought some users might find it useful?
