iMessage 4s sending issues

hi all! does anyone else have issues with iMessage just not sending on their 4s?! it takes forever to send. I've timed 5 minutes just for a regular text. I have tried my wifi and 3G but it makes no difference! any suggestions?

actually can I pick your brains 1 more time? often even if I know I should have full signal my phone doesn't pick it up. I try flicking between airplane mode and back to try and get it to register signal but won't. then I reset my handset and I get full signal. any other tips?

try turning the phone on & off, take the sim out & give it a clean as the gold contacts maybe dirty

should I do that every time? as it happens about 2 or 3 times a week? only had my 4S about 4 months haha

see how it goes, if it is still bad, try a new sim, if that doesnt work, book a genius appointmenr at your local apple store, you will more than likely walk straight out with a new phone if they find a fault

Also you can try going to your network carrier and switch automatic off and select another network it will fail and then switch back to o2

it fails because o2 dont want you using another carrier
