I no it's legal to jailbreak iPhone in us and illegal to do it on iPad. I personally don't see the point in doing it. Few friends done it on old iPhone models and the phones were a lot slower.

I don't understand how it's legal on iPhone as you don't own the software and your modifying it. Most people that jail break will tell you the do it to get flexibility out of iOS

I didn't realise it was not illegal either.  Although I would not risk doing it with my new iPhone ...

i wouldnt as there isnt much point & plus it voids your warranty so if anything goes wrong after the jb, you are stuffed
