You've gotta blame the likes of Facebook for all this. It went round like a plague to text O2 for £20 free without any mention of the qualifying promotion terms....

A lot of people were texting, posting and emailing about this 'promotion'.

As the saying goes - 'if it seems too good to be true then it is'

It is highly unlikely that O2 (or any other company) will just give you £20 for nothing.  If you went on the O2 website at the time of the offer then the terms and conditions were clearly stated, however when people were forwarding the offer to their friends, they failed to mention that a phone had to be bought in order to be eligible for this promotion.

If you did not purchase one of the qualifying phones within the time period then you will not be eligible for the £20.

Please don't apologise.

We are just trying to make it clear to you that there were conditions in place in order to make you eligible for the £20 and clearly you were not told about this.

It is an easy mistake to make - many people have been asking the same question.
