Hi I used to have pay monthly contract with o2 since 2005. Last time I was on contract was using iphone 4s. This contract ended in September 2012 and I disconnected the contract due to relocation. But my iPhone 4s was not unlocked. I tried to raise unlock request online and via the onlie chat gurus but my request keep failing all the time. I have been speaking to online chat guys every single day for more than 5 times no one is helping me and I am getting box standard answers we will raise the request again and the same reply saying it didn't work and we will raise again. Its been going on for 2 months and I am really frustrated and angry and sometimes feel like being treated like s**t for being on O2 network. I do not have my O2 mobile number that I used to have on any network now. I disconnected it in 2012. The following is the message they keep saying:
"I'm sorry, we have not been able to unlatch your iPhone at this time.
The reason given is:
The Mobile number provided is unallocated on the network."
I raised complain with O2 but no response. I am really really angry and upset.

Therein lies your problem. O2 will unlock it but you need to fill their criteria. If the number you are using is no longer associated with the phone, O2 will not unlock it. Your only choice would be a P&G sim and top it up with £20.

Your only option now would be to topup an o2 payg card with £20 make a few calls to relatch it on the netwoirk and then just use the online form to unlock ensuring it has £15 left for the unlock.

So there is no other option to Unlock it? As I used to be a Pay Monthly customer can't O2 unlock it for me?

Do you have an O2 simcard in the phone now?
The message that you are getting means they cannot associate the mobile number with the phone. You need to have a P&G sim in the phone and make a few chargeable calls and fill in the unlock form with £15 credit left on the phone to pay for the unlock.
You do not make it clear whether you have done this.
Perhaps if you can explain exactly how you are now using the phone we can offer further advice?

I haven't got a Pay As You Go Sim card in my phone. I just request O2 via online using my IMEI number and my old phone number for which I don't have SIM either.

Your old number from sep 2012 will no longer be valid in the system this is the issue, and as @jonsie and I have said the only way now is to get a payg o2 sim top up £20 make calls then request the unlock 24 hours later ensuring £15 is left to pay for it
