I have changed from iphone 4 to 5S and cannot transfer my photos and contacts, can anyone help?

Normally back up the 4 to itunes and then connect the 5 and restore from that back up.

Back up to iTunes or icloud and restore the new phone from the backup.
Just make sure both phones are on the same version of ios.
