So i was doing the sim swap from my iphone 4s to my new 5s, by mistake i activated my new nano sim before i done the swap, now when i attempt to do the swap online or by text i get a message "we're already doing a swap for this phone".  This was done a week ago and still the signal hasnt died from my old sim and im still using the number from my new sim.  Do i just buy a new pay monthly nano sim?  i want to keep my old number.

You can pick up a fresh blank SIM card from any O2 shop or ask for one to be sent to you. They are free.

If you ring customer services.
O2 Customer Services. 202 for Contract. 4445 for PAYG they will be able to assist.

You don't have to buy a new sim. You can go into an O2 store and they will give you a new one for free. You might want to go in store and explain what you have done so they can hopefully sort it out for you right there.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2

A sim swap moved your number and tariff from one SIM card to another.

It does not stop / kill a contract.

You're welcome.

Just to add to stop /kill/ Cancel a contract you would need to contact Customer Services on 202 or write to them.

O2 will then let you know whether you have fulfilled any contractual agreement you may have with them.

Were you able to receive the code to the old sim to start the swapmysim ?

If yes then ;
It takes anything up to 24 hours to settle. Keep turning your phone off and on.

If it does not change after 24 hours then contact CS on 202 contract / 4445 payg or use the landline contact numbers in the contact us tab at the bottom of the forum page or live chat for assistance.
