First try doing a hard reboot by holding the 'top' button and home button together until the apple logo appears that has worked for me when I have had the issue.

Unless you have forgotten the passcode in which case...

The only thing you can do is a full factory reset of your phone... This should help you out... http:/https://discussions.apple.com/thread/5413957

I have just found this link - it may be helpful in your situation.  It details the steps to take in order to get around the passcode.

If its the 4 digit passcode lock then their is no other workaround as the activation lock comes into effect if your on iOS7.

Follow the link.

The obvious thing to do is enter your passcode !

I assume you haven't forgotten it?

I've never managed to forget a 4 digit pass lock ?

In the end its a security feature designed to protect the owners details held within the iPhone.

Another reason I welcomed the new activation lock applied by Apple in iOS7 which is controlled by the apple iD and password.

To the OP. If you get stuck then a visit to your local Apple Store may help to see a genius or specialist.

Passcode is great for added security.  Even when I don't stay signed in to most apps, it's handy to keep prying eyes away from message.  Although, the obvious downside is when the passcode is forgotten.  Look on the brightside, at least you know the security feature is working well! slight_smile

I love the iPhone 5s fingerprint scan (I'd like it on the iPad too) - I can have security on my phone and be lazy and not have to put passwords in.  It'll work well - as long as I don't lose my fingers

LOL

Dont worry if you 'lose' your fingers.
