HI!
I have had my iphone 4 successfully unlatched with o2, as I now live overseas and need to use a foreign sim. The next step i was told to insert the non-o2 sim, plug into itunes and will receive prompts to complete the process, however when i plug it in nothing happens on itunes!
And the phone still says 'locked sim', and asks for a 3 digit unlocking pin.
Please let me know if yuo can help, greatly appreciate it!
Thanks

Have you received an e mail from o2 saying the unlock has been authorised ?

Hi,
Is the alternative network sim activated ?
If itunes is not telling you its now unlocked you may have to ask for the unlcock again.
Are you still in the Uk.

Actually no it's not unlocked ! Should I tryt o unlock the sim, then plug into itunes again and give it another shot?
I am no longer in the uk, i'm in france.
thanks for your help!

The process is :
Request the unlock from o2 via the unlocking form.
They e mail you to say the unlock has been completed.
You insert another alternative Network Sim card in the iphone and hook upto itunes where the process is completed.

I am having similar issues with it saying 'no service' when I first turn the phone on, but 'invalid SIM' when I turn Airplane Mode on, then off. I've had a text from 02 saying 'iphone is now unlocked'. I've plugged the phone into my laptop to try and unlock it, but I am getting nothing other than it trying to sync with iphone.
The iphone is on O2 but the SIM inside is on Vodafone.
Any ideas what I can do?
Thanks.
