You can pick up a blank sim from any O2 store free of charge and they will do the swap in store for you.

Or have one posted to you and perform the swapmysim yourself.

Check your service status

http://status.o2.co.uk

Try a soft reboot first.

Hold the Top Button and Home Button until the Apple Logo appears, and then let go of both. Your iPhone will reset.

Try switching to 2g in the iPhones settings.

You can also have the iPhone checked out by Apple at a genus bar.

Here's how to make an appointment.

I usually have full service and it happens anywhere and everywhere! It seemed ok on the first day I got the phone. I have had it replaced once for this error and have got same problem on the second one. Shld I go to O2 shop to get SIM card changed. My husband, who has the same phone on O2 as we'll does not have this problem.
