No Service -.-

I have an iPhone 3gs. Recently had the screen replaced because of a dead spot and charge dock replaced as a result.

Signal was fine for like a week after that, now I can't get signal at home or work when before it was 100% all the time. But I can get signal in other places still so I haven't lost signal all the time clearly.

My whole family are on o2 and no problems for them, my mum and dad both have iPhone 3gs also and they have no problems.

I have tried: switching the phone on and off

sim card swap in my sisters Nokia (also on o2)

turned off 3G and mobile data

                  turned off wi-fi

checked o2 signal in my area - all fine

I'm running out of ideas :S as i said had a few problems with phone recently and thought it was all sorted but I had signal after it was fixed for like a week.

Any help much appreciated

p.s Hi btw slight_smile

Unfortunately it does sound like the hardwares at fault:(

Any chance it's still in warranty?

If you have insurance I'd say that's your first point if call.

If not it will have to be a trip to an apple store in the hope they can fix it for you:)
Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you’re wrong. So Ive been told wink

Hi and welcome to the forums:)

Have you tried putting your sisters sim into your phone? Just to see if its a hardware issue.

Does anyone else have a 3GS?

I tried my sisters sim card and no service still.

My mum and dad both have iphone 3gs and they have normal signal (for our house)

I'm assuming it is a hardware issue now?

What should be my next step from here?

No, no warranty. It was second hand when I got it and I have had it a year. So I'm expecting problems but it was fine and all of a sudden nothing.
I have a stormfront near me with a Genius Bar or do I need to go to an apple store?
Thank-you for your help! slight_smile

It's definitely a hardware fault from the fault finding you have done. Book a Genius appointment at an Apple store, maybe they can give you an idea of the problem. I know Apple do an out of warranty replacement for around £120 but to be honest I don't know if they have any 3GSs as part of that scheme.
