Hi.

Check the service status around you to make sure the masts are working.

http://status.o2.co.uk/

Remove your sim and wipe it and keep turning the phone off and on to reset it.

It's possible your sim is corrupted and a new one is needed which can be done by visiting an 02 store where they will carry out the swapmysim procedure.

Also contact 02 on 202 contract or 4445 for payg to ensure your account is ok.

Go into settings , general , cellular/ mobile data and make sure 3g and mobile data is toggled to on.

It can sometimes take a little more than 24 hours to fully activate but keep
In mind you have 7 days to return the phone for a new one. After that you would need to use either 02 repairs or Apples Genius Bar. I would suggest apple and make an appointment here
http://www.apple.com/retail/geniusbar/ if you get that far.

Take care.

When you say you have no signal, are you awaiting a sim swap? Normlly this takes up to 24 hours.

As stated, if you still have no signal after 24 hours then contact customer service but in the meantime keep rebooting the phone at regular intervals.
