My phones GPRS and 3G has gone since 11am today and I can't use anything that needs internet. I have tried turning my phone on and off and reset my network settings and noting is working. I can only iMessage etc. if i'm connected to wifi so it's not helpful when im at out and about. Anyone else facing this problem or know a solution to the problem?

Same issue as everyone else, i had important issues to take care of today i didnt get any txts until i got home and my phone connected to wifi then got a ton of txts that i should have got many hours ago. Really hating o2 just now and have been a customer for many years, it needs sorted. Dont suppose there will be a discount or apology from o2?

I have an iphone5.    I can phone out but my number is not recognised by anyone phoning in.

I phoned 202 for support but the only available contact was to say i'm leaving o2, which gave me the reply "The office is closed right now", and threatened to charge me because i'm under contract (i thought contracts worked boyh ways/)

I'm paying for a communication service that can't communicate and is now costing me lost earnings!

Great to hear Steve, sorry about that.

Please see some info below about last night from our status page:

On Thursday 3rd October, around 1% of O2 customers experienced some difficulty making and receiving calls and texts, or using data. This was the result of unexpected congestion caused during routine upgrade work on our 2G and 3G networks. The problems were intermittent and resolved in a matter of hours.
We apologise to those customers affected and would like to thank them for their patience.
As we rollout our nationwide 4G network, we are upgrading our 2G and 3G service to reach 98% of the UK population both indoors and outdoors. Our customers can keep up to date with our progress by visiting our Network page on our website.
