My Iphone 7 keeps shutting down and asking for my passcode

Anonymous
Not applicable

This morning I have opened my iphone 7 to use, as I keep my phone locked with a passcode. after about 3 minutes it shuts down and goes back to the passcode page. when I put in my passcode it has closed the app I was working on and gone back to the home page.

I has been doing this now for 2 hours!

Any tips

Nothing has happened to it in the night? and it was working correctly yesterday.

many thanks Trudy

It’s already being reported on Apple forums so I’m sure many have spoken to them.

I know it has. I googled them before I gave my first reply and then suggested fixes from MacWorld. I was talking about giving them a call which is a bit different.

Seems strange this is happening at the same time as a big ios update is released. Can't be coincidental surely?

I guess this is why I did not get the 2nd December bug as I had the beta of 11.2 running then last night a full 11.2 at 1.8gb

They probably broke something else whilst fixing the password bug....
