I have a contact in my phone, both of us have iPhones. We can phone one another, when I text the message stays green but he gets the message, when he replies it is blue on his phone, but I don’t get the message! He’s not blocked on my phone, I deleted his contact then put it back in but still the same problem?? Any ideas???

Hi @Maude

I don't have an iPhone but found this info from Apple which may help

https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT204270

"You might not be able to get SMS or text messages that someone sends you from an iPhone because they're still being sent as iMessage"

Do read the complete article though...

Best of luck and welcome to the forum Welcome

@Maude

I don't think he has your number saved as an iPhone.

He can edit that in his contact card for you.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

It means that you don’t have iMessage set up on your end or if you do. There may not be enough data signal to send as an iMessage so it sends as a text instead
