Iphone Issues! Cant not send texts and calls coming up "calls failing" but can receive both!

Anonymous

Basically as the title states I can not send texts and when I try to call out it comes up with 'call failed" but I can receive both. My phone is showing signal bars however the red sign is next to my voicemail. This happened a couple of months ago and I was given a new sim, could it be the same issue?

I have tried:

Resetting network settings

Turn phone on and off

Removing Sim Card

Putting on Airplane mode

Checking Messages settings

When I went into an o2 shop they told me to downgrade to IOS 7.1.2 however this is no longer signed by apple so I can not do this as I get error messages.

Help Please

If you are on contract, log into your My O2 http://www.o2.co.uk/myo2 and make sure your account is paid up to date.
If PAYG make sure you have credit or an active allowance.

@MI5  Could this be an issue with the sim card and the OP needs a new one?

Unlikely as everything is incoming OK, but if all else fails it won't hurt to try.
More likely to be an account issue though.

I have had the same. It's a massive fault with the iPhone. The fix? There isn't one. Read my other post!

Wonder if its anything to do with the major outages being experienced by Apple (Just posted by bambino)

http://bgr.com/2015/03/11/app-store-down-apple-service-outage/

I know it's probably not...but very coincidental...

If you read it...it says other services could be affected.. though apple are not admitting anything...:smileywink:
