I can not work out how to turn on internet tethering on the iPhone and can not find a help page that explains how; anyone?

If the personal hotspot option is not highlighted on the menu then your account type does not support the function.

From 2011 (I think it was). O2 introduced tariffs which include tethering of data. Also, I think from iOS 4.3 onwards the iPhone had the Personal Hotspot feature added to its software.

If the tariff that you are on for your iPhone is older than this, then you won't see the Personal Hotspot/Tethering option.

 

The Personal Hotspot option is visible in Settings, I think its the 4th option down.

 

I made this video guide showing how to use Personal Hotspot, perhaps you might find it useful. The video guide is showing it on iOS 6, but with iOS 7 it should essentially be the same instructions slight_smile
