Hi,
I have been trying to unlock my iPhone 5 using the online form. The first time the request was rejected as my new SIM Card had barely been used. I realised this and made a few calls/texts/web... it is now showing in my 02 account as attached to my Mobile number.
However, immediately after receiving the rejection e-mail I filled out the form again to be rejected again (and again 24 hours later), but this time with the following message 2x:
"
** THIS IS AN AUTOMATED MESSAGE **
Hi,
This iPhone unlatching request has been rejected as there are multiple
unlock requests received.
Thank you,
O2 Customer Service
"
How long must I have to wait before I am able to re-apply for the unlock?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Regards

Call, while live chat can deal with account based questions, I have found that the outcome of situations like this leave a lot to be desired if the script is deviated from.

According to him - I shoukd go back to where it was purchased from as they are the ONLY ones that can unlock the handset.
I tried to be as polite and assertive as I could. I even told him that had my IMEI been registered with the number the first time... the lock would've gone through. It is ONLY because I then sent multiple requests in a short space of time that a system block had been placed for sending multiple requests.
He says there is no such block in place and the only reason that I got that message is bacause it was NOT purchased from O2.
Call O2 instead?

He offered a second solution as well.... Buy another PAYG Sim Card ... top up £15 and request an unlock... Instead of using my contract SIM. I told him... it's still O2 unlocking the Phone? And what if I got the same reply... he said... they would do it over on their system.

@Anonymousthis guys answers beggar belief to even me..and I am renowned as being technically challenged... Basically he is asking for you to pay for an unlock...which should be free if you are on contract...if I understand this correctly..
