Currently experiencing a major problem with my iPhone 6S which, I learned two days ago, is out of warranty (might be nice if O2 told you when you took out a 24 month contract that the device might only last for 12 and then you'd be up the proverbial creek).
The issues I've got are these:
I've tried all the usual solutions: rebooting, hard resets, restoring to factory settings, reinstalling iTunes etc but nothing has helped. I've googled and can't seem to find anyone who has experienced the same kind of faults. Hoping someone here might have experienced similar or be able to come up with some suggestions? My nearest Apple store is nearly 100 miles away so I'd rather not make that journey if I don't have to and O2 are point blank refusing to repair it without me paying for the repair which I can't really afford to do just now (not to mention the fact I object massively to paying them to repair something I'm still paying them for). I had contemplated pricing screen replacements from local phone shops but I probably couldn't afford it and I'm not even convinced it's the screen itself that's the problem anyway. Any ideas?

@emmamac89As it's out of warranty you may be better off ringing Apple Support as opposed to sending it to O2 repairs https://support.apple.com/en-gb/contact
You will have to pay but as least they know what they are doing with their own phones

When you did the factory reset before installing any apps or restoring it through iTunes, was the screen and lockscreen functioning as it should?

Apple do out of warranty replacements at around £160 but if money is an issue then you will have to go through Citizens Advice and try to get O2 or Apple to repair it free if the phone is proved not fit for purpose with inherent faults.

Thanks for the replies folks, I didn't think Apple would even entertain me as I didn't buy from them. However I spoke to an advisor on live chat who ran diagnostics; it turns out the battery is knackered but they can replace it for £25. They made me an appointment for a local Apple repair centre for tomorrow morning (could have been today if I wasn't stuck at work) and, provided they have the battery in stock, they should be able to replace it within a couple of hours and that will solve all the problems! So far, can't fault Apple's service at all, just wish O2 would take a leaf out of their book and be a bit more helpful. O2 told me it was "almost definitely the screen" (thank god I didn't have the money to go and get the screen replaced myself or that would have been money down the drain) and at no point did they suggest I speak to Apple directly. Having been with O2 for over fifteen years, I think it'll be time's up when this contract ends.
