O2: I've checked this for you and can see that your order will be ready at the store on 23/09/2016. We’re really sorry about the wait - this year there’s been a market-wide delay in receiving iPhone stock.
ME: Oh OK. Seems strange I ordered first and am still waiting. Are you sure it will be there on the 23rd?
O2: Yes as I can see that the delivery date is updated Once the handset will get despatch you'll get notified via texts and email with all delivery details.
O2: I know this year our customer is facing bit trouble to get the new Iphone but this we haven't got much from apple but we are trying to get this resolve asap.
ME: OK so this delivery date has been updated since I placed the order?
ME: Only asking because I can't see any changes in my order on MyO2
O2: It has been updated when we got the stock as you order first so it will be deliver it however there is wait time of deliver upto 6 weeks.
O2: Once you get the phone and start using it will be updated automatically.
ME: Oh, so it may not be the 23rd? It may be 6 weeks??
O2: Usually it is 6 weeks but as We’ve prioritised your order and we’ll be on 23rd.

My original click and collect date was 23/09 when I got my confirmation email, so not begrudging the date being the same.

Don't really understand what they meant by the order not being updated on MyO2. So does that mean once you've received the phone your online order status will then change? So those on the 9th could expect their phones possibly this week?

Just spoke to CS on the phone. The gentleman was extremely nice and polite. My original email said delivery for 23/09 and he said that unless i hear anything tomorrow that changes that i should get my Black 256GB plus this friday via click and collect.

I'm asuming that's got a bit lost in translation. Perhaps they thought I meant my phone hadn't changed to a 7 Plus in myO2 (the device is listed next to the phone number). That would change once the device had been used.
My expected delivery date was 23/09 then when I checked during the week i was told it was "Future Dated Dispatch". Now it's back at 23/09 so it's certainly changed.

my order status in O2 changed from 'in progress' to 'completed' when I got the email that the phone had been sent out.
