So I have recently spoken to o2 to increase my data to be told I hardly use any. I thought I used it all as it seems if I’m not logged in to WiFi I can never get a connection. Anyway this is still happening & it’s driving me insane. So I turn off WiFi and have roaming on & cellular data on. What is it? I’m paying for almost 30gb of data and bay using 1???

Go into network settings and change the APN to mobile.o2.co.uk

or

Text ACTIVE to 2020 and save the settings. Reboot the phone

You aren't using data because your APN and maybe data bolt on is incorrect

If you still have problems call customer service

Go to settings >Mobile or cellular data and scroll down. 
You will see a list of all your apps with a switch next to them. 
Ensure all the switches are green against the apps you want to use when not connected to wifi.

All green!! So not this? The issues I have relate to majority of apps that were already green?? I literally use about 2 of my 25 data allowance they’ve told me & so I really have no clue why or what I’m doing wrong?

@Kate5 It's difficult to check your settings without seeing the phone, so I'd suggest you pop into any O2 shop where they will take a look for you and I'm sure sort it out very quickly.

See my post above @Kate5 and give customer service a call. Data should automatically kick in as soon as you are out of wifi range.
