Awaiting Sim transfer

Anonymous

I purchased my iphone5s at 10am this morning, it's awesome! Downside, the transfer of my number is taking FOREVER! well probably not literally, it says 24hours and be patient bla bla bla, turn phone of and on again every now and then to check.

Is it taking so long cos so many are doing the same thing? I feel from what i've read and 02's lack of actual phones on launch day states otherwise, but anyone got a clue?

So I arranged for a sim transfer earlier today. My old number (the one I want to keep) is no longer active and my new number is still working. Is this to be expected? Wi

Hi,

Yes.

It can take up to 24 hours to become fully swapped and active.

Keep turning your phone off and on to help reset the o2 service.

You're Welcome.

If it still has not reset by tomorrow then ring o2 on 202 to have your account checked.

All the best.
