I have recently upgraded to the new iphone 5s on 4g and have been told that the city where i live (Nottingham) will go live with 4g on 30 September. However, i have also heard that the new iphones dont have the ability to pick up the 4g signal yet until it has been tested by the Apple engineers and that we won't be able to pick up 4g until this has been approved.
Does anyone know how long or when this update patch from Apple is likely to be/take so that we can start using the 4g service?. Also i would be interested to hear how people living in Leeds, Bradford or London are getting on with their 4g service through O2 on their new iphone 5s?.
Thanks in advance for any info.

Good Evening and Welcome.
It is right that the new iPhone 5s and 5c will not yet operate on o2's 4G service until the update from Apple is released.
There are no time frames as yet but o2 are giving back £5 for the month your not able to use it.
I have used 4g in my home city and your in for a treat !
