Apple i.d Password Reset.

Anonymous

Hi,

I'm aware of the recent hack into Apples Developer Systems and in response they took the site down.

When I tried to update an App yesterday I was forced to go through the procedure to choose another password for my Apple i.d.

Has anyone else had the same ?

No. I have updated apps on my Mac and iPhone this morning without them asking for any verification.

I have registered as an Apple dev before and still receive the dev updates, in case your wondering.

Thank you for the reply.

When you register / login into Apples Developer Sites are you required to do this with your Apple i.d and password ?

I haven't logged into the dev site for a few years, but I thought it was still down (I received Apple's update mail today saying that it is still down whilst they improve security).

My dev login uses the same email address as my iTunes account which gave me no problems updating apps today. I have just now logged into manage my Apple ID and it didn't ask me to change my password.

I forgot to mention that my ID's are setup for Apple's 2 step verification.

Yes it is still down but i was just asking to see if Apple will be asking people to reset their i.d password ,if they are used to access both the iTunes store and the Dev Site.

Maybe im reading too much into this.

Thanks again.

My Apple ID account was hacked earlier this year, and Apple was great sorted it all out. I have also turned on the two process now for that extra piece of mind.

Hello Richard and Welcome to the Community Forum.

Sorry to hear of that !

I personally don't have any Credit or Debit Card details logged in my Apple Account.

Instead I use a top up voucher if I ever want to buy any product through iTunes.

I've had a few replies from other forums from people reporting they too were recently prompted to change their passwords.

Maybe because I've not changed it in years it was just time !
